SOCIAL SERVICES EMERGENCY DUTY TEAM:
0300 131 2 131 (ADULT OR CHILD CONCERNS)
The following situations would require immediate action:
- When a child or vulnerable adult has sustained injuries as a result of abuse that require urgent medical attention (ensure that the child/vulnerable adult sees a doctor);
- When a child or vulnerable adult is refusing to return home because of the abuse (contact Children’s Social Care/Adult social care or the Police);
- When a child or vulnerable adult has disclosed that there is a likelihood of them suffering significant harm on returning home (contact Children’s Social Care/Adult social care or the Police).
Any non-immediate safeguarding concerns in a parish should usually be brought to the attention of your local Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO) or parish priest in the first instance.
