A note of explanation on the pattern of services

Ever since our Parish came together, on the first Sunday of each month and on certain other special Sundays we have had just one Parish Service where we come together as the Church in West Buckrose, with the choir to enhance and support our worship. We have found it good to be together in this way. Parish Services use Traditional and Contemporary forms of service in more or less equal measure, for all to enjoy and this shared and united worship is the backbone of our Parish life together.

There is also a regular pattern of more accessible services for all who enjoy them, especially families with children. In normal months there will be a service without Communion on the 2nd Sunday at St Andrew Langton and on the 4th Sunday a Family Eucharist at The Venerable Bede, Leavening. Such services are well-supported and are a vital part of our Parish life.

For those who enjoy Matins there are up to four services of Matins in the year for us all to enjoy. These are usually in the four months of the year which have five Sundays.
